Dollar Creek Shared-Use Trail

Completed
The first phase of the long-studied eight mile North Tahoe Bike Trail, connecting Dollar Hill in Tahoe City to the Pine Drop Trail and regional park in Tahoe Vista. This fills one of the last gaps for completing a non-motorized transportation and recreation travel alternative in the North Lake Tahoe region. The Dollar Creek Shared Use Trail is a 2.2 mile segment from Dollar Hill into the northern Cedar Flat neighborhood. Construction was started in 2018. Project is now complete.

Notes

03/18/2021 8:50 AM System Added Tahoe Fund grant for $47,000.
01/19/2018 9:00 AM System Broke out budget from Fanny Bridge Project - Metrics will be reported as Placer County bike path/trails constructed when construction is completed in 2018. Placer County anticipates adding local funds into the project in 2018.
11/02/2016 1:47 PM System Note - 2017 construction budget was moved over to SR 89/Fanny Bridge Community Revitalization Project - Phase 1 Highway Improvements and Dollar Creek Trail. When this project is completed, we need to be careful to only count the miles of bike/ped constructed and other EIP metrics ONCE. Placer should get credit for planning/design pre-2017, and miles constructed should fall under the Fanny project. For purposes of the FTIP, these projects have been combined under the Fanny project.
10/18/2016 10:18 AM System 10/18/16 - I removed these from the Constrained List and Corridor list because it overlaps with 03.01.02.0023 - SR 89/Fanny Bridge Community Revitalization Project- Phase 1 Highway Improvements and Dollar Creek Path
