ABOUT TCS PROJECT TRACKER

The Tahoe Central Sierra (TCS) Project Tracker is a voluntary database designed to warehouse conservation, restoration, and recreation projects from project implementors across the Tahoe Central Sierra landscape. This tool enables organizations, including TCS’s MOU partners and more, to comprehensively track and showcase the benefits of on-the-ground conservation work. The TCS Project Tracker monitors all projects and investments from 2017 to the present, as well as future projects planned within the next 10 years.

TCS Project Tracker facilitates the development of sustainable funding streams, strategically sequencing projects, and bolstering appropriate capacity and workforce resources. By aiding policymakers, potential funders, and other interested parties, the tracker helps identify opportunities for collaboration and funding support. It serves as a centralized platform for tracking and managing project information, enabling implementors to visualize progress, assess impacts, and facilitate collaboration. This fosters strategic planning and cooperation among partners, emphasizing a comprehensive forecast of upcoming initiatives and treatment plans for acres over the next decade.

The TCS Project Tracker simplifies data collection and report development, generating reports more efficiently than existing processes. Furthermore, it serves as a dynamic tool for policymakers and funders to understand landscape progress, future needs, and opportunities for collaboration. By demonstrating how the landscape can manage and leverage public and private conservation dollars to restore watersheds, enhance forest health, mitigate climate change, and educate the public and policymakers on the multiple social and ecological values that contribute to landscape resilience.

Organizations voluntarily share information here to help the public understand what accomplishments on the landscape are occurring. This is not a comprehensive list of all projects being completed across the Tahoe Central Sierra landscape.
