Planning/Design
The Lake Tahoe Watercraft Inspection Program has proven extremely effective and serves as a national model. A permanent location for the Meyers Watercraft Inspection Station has been proposed on California Tahoe Conservancy Asset Lands that will allow the program to have enhanced facilities to maintain protection of Lake Tahoe and provide excellent services to the public.

10/18/2024 10:58 AM System On October 14th, 2024, the first public meeting on the proposed project was held. A presentation was given with a Q & A session that followed. Meeting notes were taken as well as the meeting being recorded. Both are available upon request.
02/09/2024 4:51 PM System El Dorado County has committed to being the project manager and serve as the CEQA lead. TRPA and El Dorado county will enter into a contract, expected to be finalized in March 2024, with planning and environmental documentation to also begin in 2024.
01/26/2023 10:48 AM System Coordination with CTC continues, with an identified first step of developing a conceptual site plan, which was completed in 2022.
01/14/2021 2:26 PM System TRPA staff continues to investigate the feasability and potential complementary uses at the site that is part of the California Tahoe Conservancy's Asset Lands program.
