Pillars of Resilience

Back to all Pillars of Resilience

Biodiversity Conservation

Biodiversity is crucial for ecosystems and society. Native species aid forest recovery, control flooding and erosion, and cycle nutrients. Biodiversity has cultural value, offers recreational benefits like birdwatching, and helps ecosystems adapt to and recover from climate change.

The goal is to maintain an abundant and well-distributed network of native species and ecological communities to support their full ecological and cultural roles.
