Ecologically Responsible Recreation and Natural Resource Protection

Back to all Goals

Basics

Sustainable Recreation and Natural Resource Stewardship
Ecologically Responsible Recreation and Natural Resource Protection

Goal Description

The goal of Ecologically Responsible Recreation and Natural Resource Protection is to foster a balance between public enjoyment of natural areas and the preservation of ecological integrity. This involves expanding access to natural spaces while ensuring that recreational activities do not harm the environment. Key strategies include upgrading and maintaining recreational facilities to provide safe and sustainable visitor experiences, securing conservation easements to protect private lands, acquiring critical habitats to conserve biodiversity, and advocating for stronger policy protections to safeguard natural resources. By integrating these efforts, we aim to enhance public appreciation of nature while promoting long-term environmental stewardship.
