Tribal Priorities

Back to all Focus Areas.

Basics

Tribal Priorities

The focus area of Tribal Priorities is dedicated to recognizing and advancing the rights of tribal communities to reclaim, manage, and steward their ancestral lands. This initiative supports the restoration of tribal lands, empowering tribal nations to apply their traditional knowledge and sustainable practices for the benefit of ecological and cultural health. Key strategies include expanding tribally owned lands and enhancing policy and outreach efforts to facilitate tribal land restitution. Through these efforts, we aim to promote biodiversity, support cultural revitalization, and foster collaborative and respectful land management practices.
