Wildland Urban Interface Hazardous Fuel Reduction
The Spanish Flat North project constitutes Phase III of the Chili Bar to Georgetown Fuel Reduction, Restoration and Community Fire Prevention effort proposed by the SOFAR Collaborative Partnership. The purpose and need for the proposed project is to achieve reduced fuel loads in several landscape scale units to protect forest resources and infrastructure from potential severe wildfire effects and to enhance the growth and resiliency of post-treatment forest stands.
