Establish a roadside shaded fuelbreak in partnership with Liberty Utilities to improve ingress and egress, reduce powerline ROW hazards, and to provide a tactical advantage to suppression resources in the event of a wildfire.
Hand thinning, chipping, and mastication treatments along 7.9 miles of private roadways, 30' from edge of pavement on both sides. Total of 57 acres of treatments. Truckee Fire to treat 30 acres with measure T funding, Liberty utilities to treat 27 acres with private funding.
