Community Wildfire Protection Wildland Urban Interface Hazardous Fuel Reduction
Hazardous fuels reduction in the wildland urban interface (WUI). Specific to this project is improving controllability of fuel along U.S. Highway 50 (Community evacuation route) and to provide defensible space to critical airport infrastructure (apron areas used during wildland fire events and airport structures adjacent to areas in yellow.) 100’ is defensible space Concludes protecting the eastside of the airport property boundary full length. Total project treatment area is 20.65 acres. This project includes a CEQA Tahoe Program Timberland Environmental Impact analysis for hazardous fuels reduction work funded by Round 18 by SNPLMA
